In a world that feels increasingly busy, finding time to sit down with a book or an in-depth essay isn’t always easy—even for people who genuinely love reading. The days get filled with work, errands, commutes, workouts, and all the small in-between moments that rarely leave space for sitting quietly with a novel or a long-form analysis.
But listening is often still possible.

You can listen in the car. You can listen while walking the dog, cooking dinner, or working out. You can even listen while you’re sitting back at the end of a long day, letting your mind settle without needing to focus your eyes on a screen or a page. That’s exactly why I’ve started the Write on the World YouTube channel.
This channel is designed for readers who want to keep exploring literature even when they’re on the move. It’s a space for literary analysis, book discussion, and writing conversation that meets you where you are—whether that’s behind the wheel, on a treadmill, or just relaxing on the couch with your eyes closed and your attention on the story being spoken.
I’ve started by reading and recording some of my reviews of novels I’ve especially enjoyed this year. These are books that have stayed with me—stories that raised questions, created emotional resonance, or offered something worth thinking about long after the last page. Turning those reviews into audio and video format felt like a natural extension of what I already do on the site: slowing down, paying attention, and talking about what makes stories matter.
But this is just the beginning.

As the channel grows, I’ll be expanding beyond book reviews to include videos about writing itself—craft discussions, reflections on the writing process, and other topics drawn from my work on Write on the World. If you’re interested in storytelling not just as a reader but as someone curious about how stories are built, there will be something there for you too.
The goal isn’t to replace reading. It’s to extend it. To make literary conversation more accessible in the moments when reading a page-by-page analysis isn’t realistic, but listening absolutely is.
If that sounds useful—or even just enjoyable—I’d love for you to check out the channel. And if you want to be notified when new videos go live, make sure to subscribe so you don’t miss upcoming content.
You can think of it as bringing literature along with you, wherever your day happens to take you. Here’s a taste of what you have to look forward to!

Book Summary
When Jack Utley loses his daughter just as his business is about to soar, it seems he’s traded financial gain for Callie’s life. After an encounter with a mysterious woman on the eve of Callie’s funeral, Jack wakes up to find that time has somehow rewound to the morning of Callie’s accident. Jack gets an opportunity that most grieving parents can only dream of – he saves his daughter’s life.
Now that Jack has been forced to reflect on everything he has to lose, he resolves to do better. He’s determined to spend more time at home with his family and repair the relationships that have suffered over the years while he’s been so focused on work. But as Callie’s behavior becomes increasingly bizarre, Jack realizes he has a lot more room to improve than he realized – and it might be too late to save his daughter after all.
