Sometimes you just want a book that grabs you by the throat and doesn’t let go—and All Eyes on Him by Iliana Xander fits that bill perfectly. Fast-paced, twisty, and just self-aware enough to wink at its own melodrama, it’s the kind of guilty-pleasure read that lets you forget the world going to hell outside your door for a few hours.

The setup is pure cat-and-mouse thriller gold. Natalie’s best friend is found unconscious after leaving a club with a stranger—who turns out to be none other than the nation’s newly crowned “Man of the Year.” While the media fawns over his charm and money, Natalie suspects he’s hiding something far darker. Determined to uncover the truth, she infiltrates his mansion as a housekeeper, but soon realizes she might be the one being hunted.
What makes All Eyes on Him work isn’t depth or nuance—it’s momentum. This is your average, fast-moving psychological thriller that thrives on short chapters, quick reveals, and cliffhangers that dare you to stop reading. There are no big themes or emotional reckonings here, and that’s fine. Iliana Xander knows exactly what kind of story she’s telling: a pure escapist ride full of glamour, danger, and just enough absurdity to keep it fun.
It’s also surprisingly funny in moments—especially once the villains start unraveling. When the masks come off, they’re less diabolical masterminds and more like a pair of bumbling buffoons. If there had been one more of them, they could’ve launched a three stooges routine right there among the chaos.
Still, Xander keeps readers on their toes. While I suspected early on that the man Natalie is targeting isn’t the real monster, the author throws in enough red herrings to make you second-guess yourself right up until the end. The pacing is relentless, the chapters fly by, and the final twists land exactly as intended: with a mix of shock and satisfaction.
All Eyes on Him releases December 2, 2025, and it’s one to grab if you’re in the mood for something fast, fun, and utterly unpretentious—a psychological thriller that knows how to entertain.
